I was in need of an administrative law attorney after receiving a Board of Behavioral Sciences ("BBS") complaint due to a harassment complaint by a former employer of a few years ago. I was extremely worried about the situation and not sleeping due to many facts being distorted in a way that could have caused serious legal repercussions. Mr Murphy was referred to me by a friend and right away he stood out from the other lawyers I had spoken to. His fees were very reasonable and he was noticeably pissed off about how I had felt that this employer had retaliated against me and attacked my religious beliefs. Unlike other lawyers he wouldn't allow me to start thinking about the possibility of probation. He was confident in conveying his thoughts about potential disciplinary actions. He thought that at worst I could be looking at a Public Reprimand but that he thought he might be able to do even better than that. He also told me that no one called him "when things were going well" and that he was very comfortable protecting people in high stake situations.
Fortunately my case was dismissed without any disciplinary action within a few weeks! Mr Murphy always made himself available to me by phone within a few hours if I had questions and his staff was very professional. The case was resolved so quickly that Mr Murphy even refunded some of the money from the retainer! I found him to be a very honest and tenacious guy that you want on your side when your life is on the line. I hope I don't have to retain him again but I would not hesitate to if needed, and/or recommend him to any friends or colleagues.
